Full name and designer for 1 point:
Do the Experts know?
There are two names that pop up when I see that picture.
And they are Bristol and Bertone.
But that would surely be a daft combination.

But it isn't either of them so you don't need to worry!

Not at all!
Looks like a large Ford?
Wheels look like '70s German Granada.

They are I think but that's not what it is.
Based on the MK1 Consol / Granada platform?
South American?
Ford Xcel
This vehicle is from Ford's Ghia Operations division in Turin, Italy. Unfortunately, I do not know its name.

You are right, but I'm afraid I need its name for that point!
So which of the Pro's knows?

Clearly none of them so it's off to the Black Hole with this one...
Ford Ancona (designed by Ghia)?

Ford Ancona (designed by Ghia)?
We've already established that it's a Ford from Ghia's studios, but I'm afraid its name is not 'Ancona'.
Maybe this was meant to be an Australian Ford, perhaps a Falcon/Fairmont Coupé?

Maybe or maybe not, I don't know!
But it did have a specific name and nothing to do with Falcon or Fairmont (don't forget it was based on the European Granada).
Is that specific name used by Ford or Ghia for more than only this car?

No, it's never been used by Ford or Ghia for anything else.
But it has been used by a different manufacturer..
should this stay here for ever?

I don't know.
Where do puzzles go from here?
Its name has not yet been correctly identified.
What do you advise?
Don't think it's alone in not being solved....

If the suggestion I have made elsewhere on the forum were implemented I could declare the answer to this and move it to Solved right away - and get 1 point for it to boot!
Same would apply to some or your own puzzles and those of quite a few others.
How about it?
When it happens to me, I give clues untill it's solved.

There is always a way to lead someone to the solution...it will be a different game, but always a game!
Just my idea ;)

My reply #26 gave quite a good clue, and I expected questions based on it until that manufacturer was found, then the model, and Bingo!, it would have been solved.
But they weren't forthcoming from anyone; everyone seemed to lose interest.

No.
From Italy?
From Western Europe at all?
From Spain?
Toledo?
A city like Valencia?
Cordoba?
Alhambra?
Barcelona?
;D Everything is possible here!
Maybe Vizcaya?
Malaga?
Ford Marbella by Ghia

As I said the name had been used for another car by a different manufacturer!
Just remind me who made a car called a Barcelona?!

Well, there aren't that many Spanish cars that have been named after Spanish towns/cities; to my knowledge Vizcaya is not one of them!

Malaga is one that has been, and is close to the solution (geographically) but is not the right one.

Ford Marbella by Ghia
This however is it!
At last we've got there, it is indeed the Ghia Ford Marbella built in 1974 on Granada mechanics to investigate the possibility of a separate 2+2 coupe for the European market.
I told you that clue would get you there and it's a mystery to me why it wasn't followed up on earlier. There was an easy point there for the taking!
Well done.

There was a Maybach W3 Limousine bodied by Kellner and called Barcelona...and I believe an Hispano Suiza H6B Weyman Sedan called that way too. ;D
And we all remember the great Mercury Barcelona, don't we? ;D
Since it was based on a Granada I suppose it was appropriate name this development of it on another Spanish town..
Here are some un-retouched pictures of the puzzle car:
