Full description of what this is called, who built it, what it's based on, what powers it and when it was built will earn a Puzzler 1 point:

Ford 100E base. I was going to say Austin 7 but the wheelbase looks too long for that.

It doesn't sit on a Ford chassis but it is powered by the ubiquitous Ford E93A engine!

I still think this may be an Austin Seven special with a 1172cc Ford engine.
It is similar to many Lotus 6-inspired club racers of the 1950s.

It does have the Ford sidevalve engine, yes, as I said before - but no Austin parts as far as I know!

I'm away from home and whilst I have some of my files with me this is rather an old puzzle and I don't have that one!
Will only be able to answer when I get home, but I'm pretty sure the answer is 'No'.

Sorry, nothing to do with Ginetta either.
It's very much a one-off.

Presumably it was a car built for Formula 1172?
The date - 1959?

Possibly; not sure what he used it for.
1959 is correct, yes!

Buckler made cars of all sorts of shapes - could be one of his, but probably not.
