What's this car, for 1 point?
-
Is that a very small driver or the largest sportscar yet made.......

Experts?

Invader GT5?
-
Invader GT5?
No.
-
Kaylor?
-
???
Cavano?
-
No and No!
-
hmm.....
All I can add is that I thought this was an Invader GT designed and constructed by Bruce Weeks, a plastics technology student. Invaders were built by Autokit Industries in San Rafael CA before being sold to Kaylor Energy Products.
The Invader GT III-E version was built in Spain.

That's because this car DOES use the old Invader body.
But it's not an Invader; it's a car due to be on sale mid-2011!
More digging required!

I've been taking some flak from Puzzlers for not awarding points for identifying this car as an Invader GT.
As I have said before, although this car uses an Invader body it is NOT an Invader GT, and is reputedly going to go on sale later this year. It has a completely different name which is all its own!
Here are some extra pictures of the same car in case that helps anyone to identify what it is and why it is so different from an Invader:
-
Is the prototype of the oft-rumored mid-engine Pinto? ;D

Mantis Agean?
Still not the one, no!

Is this the electric or hybrid version that has been featured in a few articles?
(You said it wasn't a Mantis, I read there was an electric Mantis too).

It's an electric car - but nothing to do with Mantis.

Lloyd Trans' Amptran Formula I
-
At last!
2 points for you for that one since it seems to have been particularly tough and it's been languishing in the Black Hole for some time.
They didn't seem to be able to decide whether to call it the Amptran Formula 1 or the Amptran Concorso LT700! It was supposed to be on the market by now so maybe they've decided what it's called..
As can be seen it uses the Invader GTS body but is powered by the ubiquitous electric motors.
Well done!

Hmmm! I wonder if I should add this photo to my enormous Invader GT photobucket album ??? Yes, of course I should! it is afer all, an Invader GT. :) My guess is that Bruce Weeks might have something to say, if he tries to produce this without a percentage of the profits.
