For the points I need to know:

What is it called?         )
What is it based on?     )
Who built it?                )       1 point for the answers to these 5 questions
When was it built?        )
Who was it built for?     )
What is so extra-special about it (apart from the obvious) and who was responsible for that? - 1 more point for the correct answer to this!

Don't you want way too much for a single point? :o ;D

I'd answer each question for a single point ;)

Well, 6 questions but I really can't give 6 points!  Tell you what - 1 point for the first 5 questions then another point for question 6 - so 2 points available in total.  How about that?

However, Arunas, regret to say you can't answer any of the questions unless you relinquish all your points and become a Rookie again!  And I wouldn't bet a single cent on this puzzle reaching the barren wasteland of the Pros!

It was a joke ;D

I'm sure it won't reach pro section too :)

I know, but it was a lot of questions for only 1 point, so there's no harm in making it a bit more interesting and offering 2, not necessarily to the same puzzler!

[more coming]

Yes, that's 3 of the 5 questions answered for the first point, so the other 2 questions are locked for you to await your remaining answers!

OK, I had locked the last 2 questions for Ecnelis but you answered them by edit before he posted his!  I'm giving him the point for the first 5 answers however as my intention was to lock it for him.

The last question is a different matter though, for the other point.
It's locked for you to come up with the final answer as you were first to point out that this car had a sequential gearbox engineered by Williams.  That's not the final answer though; that makes it special, but what makes it extra-special?

All you need to do is tell me and 1 point is yours!

I've given you a point for answers 1-5 but the extra-special bit still hasn't been answered correctly and I've now locked it for del78 because it is to do with the transmission, which he was first to identify as a sequential gearbox engineered by Williams.

Although you are correct that the last car was cancelled before delivery hence never went to Brunei that's not the answer I'm looking for!

it was first sequential gearbox taken almost unchanged from Formula 1 car installed in normal passenger car

but is this extra special feature connected with this particular one from the photo?

That is the answer I was looking for.
It applied to all the FX's I suppose, but since it was the very first road-car to have a now-common paddle-shifter I thought it was something rather special.
Anycase all solved now.  Well done.

And here's a front view to whet the appetite:
