I'm afraid not... I think this is one of two cars built with this body style. There was also the unique competition coupe that has previously been a puzzle. I can't find any other information about barboni Panhards on the web, so please unlock this for everyone else

I do have a name and it's neither of those, and I hope I'm right.
Unfortunately I can no longer find where I got it from, but I wrote it down carefully so must have had good reason to believe it.

No - we've already established that this is a unique car built by Barboni, and barrett has already been awarded a point for that.

Maybe she (and/or her husband?!) is the owner now; but the car was commissioned by someone else and that's the name I'm looking for. It's not M. Berthet either...

It seems I don't who commissioned the car either!
All the names you've given along with the name I have are either owners or previous owners..
It seems to be the Stemperts who have now restored the car.

So I'm afraid all your efforts have been in vain; I have already given barrett a point for identifying the car and that's all the information there is so I'll have to call it solved and move it. Sorry to waste your time but hope you enjoyed the search..!

By coincidence I was just reading up about this while the puzzle was being moved to the Solved section.

My French isn't great, but it seems that the Stemperts had two Panhards with bodywork by Barboni.

The first photo shows Raymond Stempert in 1954 with his Barboni-bodied X87 Junior which he named "Le Poisson", apparently because of the back end's tendency to waggle from side to side like the tail of a fish.

If I've got it right, the puzzle car started life as a Dyna Junior convertible, and was driven as such by Gilberte Stempert, with co-driver Alziari de Roquefort, in the Rallye des Alpes of 1953 (second photo). At some time this car was crashed, and was subsequently re-bodied by Barboni as a coupé (third photo).

Gilberte Stempert's maiden name was Condamine, and I've seen her referred to using both names, if perhaps that's the other name which came up in relation to this car?

No, Condamine wasn't the other name so there's another one in the mix!
There was a photo on one of the sites with this car alongside the Stemperts' "The Fish", but I couldn't get it to copy.
