1 point for identifying what this car is and where it was built; you can tell me who built it as well if you like but I won't be able to confirm or deny that because I don't know!
Whateever it is, it sits on VW underpinnings. Judging by the weather, I'd say it was in Norway...

Not sure if there's any VW there; there might be, but the mechanics aren't.
Not Norway, sorry.

Imp-based?
No, although the answer I have does have a question mark.
But it's not Imp.

Larsen built by Henrik Thor Larsen 1957-1960?

Larsen built by Henrik Thor Larsen 1957-1960?
Thanks, but I can't confirm or deny that because I haven't been able to find out.
Allemano has half-answered the question posed by identifying where it was made, and the only other thing I know it what it was based on, so that would suffice for the other half of the question.
If you can give me some proof of the Larsen connection that might secure it for you?

Unfortunately I have no photographic evidence to tie up this car.
Henrik Thor Larsen of Malmo built his 'sportvagn' from a 1/10th scale model he made in 1957.
The car used a 1954 Porsche chassis.
This could well be the car then, as all I know is that it is a Porsche-based Swedish home-built special.
I'll give you the points (2 for a Black Hole resident!) and call this one solved; if anyone ever comes up with anything different then I'll take them away again!!
Looking at Larsen's other designs and then looking at the car again some doubts remain..
QuoteThor-Larsen designed and built a very well-received sports and racing car in plastic on a Porsche chassis in Stockholm
Maybe it's featured here: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=16938.0

Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open for another image just to prove or disprove it.

That's where I found it although there is no photo.
So doubts remain.....
