3 points for this 3-wheeler:
1- The name of this vehicle (quite easy)
2- The name of the driver (he is not the builder)
3- the name of the company (I don't know it)
-
Walt Disney?
-
Not him...
-
Are you sure there IS a company behind that wacky construction?
-
According to my source, this vehicle tried to be a production car. Its promoters were looking for publicity giving samples to different XXXX in 19YY.
-
The driver should be easily recognizeable.
-
Howard Hughes?
-
Not him...
-
Raymond Loewy?
-
Not a designer...
-
Is this man somehow related to the automotive business or is he famous for something else?
-
Famous for something else.
See my reply #4...he is one of those famous XXXXX that got the vehicle for promotion.
-
actor?
-
Yes!
-
Probably wrong, but could it be William Powell?

Probably wrong, but could it be William Powell?
Must be his doppelganger! What would he be doing driving that thing?!
-
Not William Powell but with this guess you are incredibly close!
-
Incredibly close means related to William Powell?
-
Given the fact that William Powell starred in 47 movies (according to wikipedia) it's not about him...but I confirm you are very close.
(I can't be more specific without giving the answer away...)
-
Dick Powell?
-
That's him...and I've been able to find this pic online:
1st point is gone!
-
Lucky me! I could not find a single pic showing Dick Powell with a moustache.
-
Ha!
-
Is the puzzle vehicle pedal-powered or electric? I've found a very similar machine, purely pedal-powered, and it doesn't have that box hanging under the middle, that looks like it could be a battery. Also the steering mechanism is a bit different.
Unfortunately the article doesn't give a name for the machine, or any clue to its origin, but it does look to be closely related to the puzzle one.
-
the name of this vehicle (clue, clue) suggests a pedal-powered vehicle BUT the article defines it as a go-kart and Mr Powell is looking at the chain....
-
Called "Aerocycle'' in 1936?
-
Called "Aerocycle'' in 1936?
...and the 2nd point is gone.
In my pic there is Dick Powell in an Aerocycle, 1936, a go-kart the company was trying to promote. Buck Jones also rode an Aerocycle.
Now for the 3rd point, is there any other info, beside that?
-
Only that Buck Jones said to do 20 mph on his one-man-power, two-speed, front-wheel drive vehicle.
Nothing on who built it I'm affraid.
-
Ok, let's see if something more comes from our Pros...
1 point for what's more behind this 1936 Aerocylce. (company\builder name, technical specs, etc...)
-
Could be nonsense, but I frequently came across the name "Schwinn" on my research..

I hope there will be some updates on this...
-
Solved.
The missing point will be always available for who will be able to add any detail.
