READ CAREFULLY:

Try to identify this car.
If you want to play fair, find the answer the old fashioned way.
If you want to cheat, you can easily find it via Google Image Search, 1st page.
If you are dumb, here's the answer:  - WRM -, (right click and copy to read it.)

it's a game, if you like to play it go on!

(BTW: if you know the car, don't be afraid to answer immediately!  ;D )

Some Australian Jaguar special?

Paul Jaray

Half correct...no Jaguar bits there. (not the engine, at least)

Hmm......is this the Dungey & Riches D-Type Jaguar replica (without any Jaguar parts)?

More 'run of the mill' than a Jag?

I've seen this car before somewhere  >:(
On second thoughts it looks much smaller than a Jaguar replica.
Is it a simpler car such as a Ford engined special?

Found it!
It was on my HD all the time (difficult to pinpoint among 17,000 images)
WRM Ford-engined Special 1959
What I don't know is who the person was who built it.
Perhaps WRM is his initials?

The captions under the original pictures (knowing the name it was easy to find them) mention Jim Bertram and Webster Road Motors.

Paul Jaray

Right you are!
Here's what I know:

"Built by Jim Bertram, powered by 1172cc Ford engine.
Jim Bertram was the proprietor of GP Cars at Chermside, a well known seller of aftermarket performance parts.
For those familiar with Brisbane, WRM stood for Webster Road Motors, Webster Road being one of the major roads on the Northside of Brisbane."
