A beauty in a sad state.

For one point, please respond and identify this car as well as the coachbuilder.

I have found some photos of a incomplete car that could be the same car, a Bugatti coupe by O-Uhlik of Prague. Is it?

Wendax

Yes, that's the same car, a Bugatti with Uhlik body. Locked for you to find the model designation of the chassis used.

Ok I have found a source tha sais It was a type 43 (chassis number 43217). Is it what you have?

Wendax

Yes, it is. Another point for you.

The body has been taken off the original chassis when this received a new "original" body as can be seen below. The Uhlik body waits to be transferred to another Bugatti chassis.

Crossing the fine line between making a puzzle with no information, and asking others for help...

I have this as a 1927 Bugatti Type 43.  Photos taken in CZ.

Does anyone know which coachbuilder was involved?

It has a lot in common with this Uhlik body on a Bugatti T43: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=17618.0
Could it have been restored?

That certainly looks like the car.  Around 2010 the body was sold to Bohuslav Klein.  I understand it was to be restored on a reproduction chassis (possibly a T44 chassis), with a different front.  If anyone else can confirm this is the same car, these might be good images to add to the solved puzzle.
