It's a DKW Munga prototype from 1955 called F 91/4. As a special feature it had a plastic body.

Yes, that's it. It was also called M-Wagen. But I have a different year for the first presentation.

This car was presented in 1955 at Frankfurt's IAA. The first 11 preproduction units came to Bundeswehr in January 1956 while production started not until October of the same year. It was named "M-Wagen" (Mehrzweckwagen = multipurpose car) as it was planned for civil use also. As far as I understand the name "M-Wagen" included the steel bodied production cars as well.

Yes, what you wrote is correct for the Munga in its production specification. But here we have a prototype as you stated correctly. And this prototype was presented to the officials of the "Dienststelle Blank" (not the public) much earlier.

Oh, now I read the whole text..  :D
The year should be 1953 for the first finished prototypes. The project started already in 1952, though.

Well done, another point for you.
