What's this car? A point awaits you, if you tell me its manufacturer and model year. I'm not sure it had a name...

This is the first time I scanned a picture from a book. I am not sure an image is available on the web - though it is mentioned frequently.

So, experts, can you crack this one?

It bears a strong resemblance to a Mazda (or Matsuda) prototype from 1939 (or 1940 according to some sources). As it was only a prototype I don't think it got a model name.

Yes, this is the Mazda prototype from 1940.
