It is a scale model and was probably never realized.

This is the 1948 Mercedes Benz "Josef Müller" Kompaktwagen, a 3,7m short car with a 1,2 l engine.

It remained a project, of course...

Josef Müller has also designed a 1,4 Liter version with an altered front end.
