HWM Healey by Wendler 1947 ?
You've virtually answered this one correctly although there is no connection to Wendler that I'm aware of (neither designer or coachbuilder).
However the year is correct as this is the 18th. Healey built.
HWM is also correct but what is the connection to this car?
Locked for you.

Okay, I'm going to call this one solved as you have given me all the elements I was looking for.
It is a Healey bodied by HWM in 1947.
The only part I'm doubtful about is that Wendler was involved in any way.
Let me know if you have further proof regarding that.
In the meantime another point for you.

This is Healey chassis #13 with bodywork by Abecassis and Heath HW Motors (HWM).

nicanary

According to Simon Taylor's superb HWM history, the car was a chassis supplied by Healey, with bodywork built by Fox & Nicholl to an Abecassis design. There was at least one other built with slightly different front end treatment, and that's about the lot.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
