When I was a lad in the Balkans, we used to have something very similar (but cruder construction) come round to cut logs. These are motorised bandsaws. No idea on makes.

You are absolutely right about the bandsaws. Who'll find out who made them and the other details?
The Motorized Bandsaw Orchestra on their way towards professionalism
Gabi Glaris, a bandsaw on Ford A-Modell chassis, made in CH in 1935
Although in one well-known source it is called Gabi Glaris, that is just a nickname of the sole survivor. The current owner named it after his wife Gabi and the canton Glarus where it was built.
It is in fact based on a Ford Model A and was built in 1935.
Locked for you to find the builder and the engine used.
Autoindustrie AG, Glarus (Teilhaber Carl Enz, Glarus)
Yes, Carl Enz built these mobile bandsaws.
Still locked for you to figure out the engine used.
Meanwhile a picture of the surviving bandsaw, called "Gabi Glaris". As you can see, it won't be a Ford Model A engine under that bonnet.

Yes, congratulations, another well-earned point for you.
