Ain't that a nice sports car?
For one point, please respond and identify this car.
-
and a nice name, indeed: Wendax Aero WS 700, Hannover Fair 1949
-
Yes, I couldn't resist the temptation. It is a Wendax Aero, built as WS 400 and WS 700 with identical bodywork. I think it was not much of a sportscar, especially with the 400 cc engine, propelling just the right rear wheel per chain drive. :o
One more point for you, congratulations.

Here´s a rare photo of the 1949 fair stand at Hannovermesse:
-
Three different Wendax vehicles on one picture: that's what I call rare! :D
And on the last of my pictures it isn't sold yet!
-
Is this the chassis of the Aero?
I only know it´s a 1949 Wendax chassis:
-
It must be the Aero chassis, because the WS 750 had a front engine. What baffles me is that it looks as if the chain drive is connected to the left rear wheel. Rosellen writes that the right rear wheel was the only driven wheel. Perhaps it is the first chassis, as Rosellen writes about difficulties wth the gearbox which resulted in a repositioning. The chassis picture looks as if the stickshift protrudes to the left of the driver, a detail not visible on later pictures.

Well, maybe the magazine has mirrored the original negative without knowing.
But this is how it was printed.
-
No, the magazine picture definitely shows a LHD chassis, so it can't be mirrored.
-
Äh, sure - :D
