Is that a Grade and a Protos on the picture?

Wendax

You're right with the Grade, but no Protos in the picture.

Is the event connected to Brandenburg?

If you divide Germany in two halves, the picture was taken in the Northern one. But you could call it central as well.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it an expedition, although it was more than a simple road trip. The picture was taken during the journey.

Rather located in the eastern part of Germany?

It´s the marketplace of Göttingen, where members of the "AKAKRAFT Huldigungsfahrt" are surrounded by spectators.

They were on the way to Ladenburg to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first ever (Benz) car outing of 1886.

In the same second...  :D

Hey Otto, don´t remove it...

So this must have been in 1926.
