It's anybody's guess why a big Hungarian industrial company, which was active in everything from gas stoves, bicycles, cans etc. etc., namely the Weiss Manfred company chose such a mundane design to launch its automobile production business. Naturally it went nowhere, so they tinkered with it to come up with a two-stroke engined, Weymann-bodied "thing" in 1927.

Wait just one minute.

I am just making a backup copy of the Hungarian part of my archive and I found these two unidentified photos in the collection of Viktor Szmick.

Could these be depicting the first FIAM-based Weiss Manfred from cca 1925-1926???
