Yes, it is the first version of the Sommer S1. It was modified at least twice.

Thanks for the great picture, I've never seen this version before. Anyone know for certain how many of these cars were built, or if it was just one vehicle that received modifications over time? I'm pretty sure one (it) still exists in the Ole Sommer museum.

If I understand the Danish text of the museum brochure right, there was only one car that was modified over the years (including the use of a two-stroke engine during the years 1955 to 1957).
