Horch 930S streamline prototype (from memory, will double check when I get home tonight)
You've got good memory.
A rear three-quarter view -

Interesting views Grob.
The left front also appears to have a compartment - another wash-hand basin or something different?
I don´t know, but it has been a very inventive car for its time.
Some features and another period photo of the only prototype car that has survived until today.
It shows its use as a soviet staff car in the early years after WW II:
- independent front suspension
- double joiunt rear axle
- 5,53m long
- 160 km/h
- 5-6 seater
- 17.000 Reichsmark
- radio (1939!)
- steering lock
- a blower for clearing the windscreen
- adjustable headrests
- the well known foldable washbasin in the front right fender
And here´s the front cover scan of a ca.1989 brochure that shows the (then) freshly restored car today:
Great photos Grob.
Perhaps the left hand compartment held the soap and towels? (tongue-in-cheek reply) ;D
The left-hand compartment housed a medicine chest.
