Futurist auto designer Jim Buchanan (played by Herbert Marshall) was a car designer in the film If You Could Only Cook. The puzzle car is one of the character's drawings. Here is another:

"The absurd central conceits of If You Could Only Cook don't matter much when Leo Carrillo & Lionel Stander invade the film's finely appointed Art Deco mansions. It's a blast to watch Carrillo, Stander & Carillo's gangland henchmen steal every scene from notorious scene-stealers like Herbert Marshall & Jean Arthur, but the script simply isn't sharp enough for the two leads to get a foothold. At one point automobile magnate Jim Buchanan's wedding limousine is pulled over by police motorcycles & Stander & a mug mimic cooing & billing while Marshall sits between them, held at gunpoint, rather impressed. The policemen swoon romantically while writing the speeding ticket. It's the best scene in the movie.
