It's amazing to see how many american cities keep website about their fire departments. I'd almost feel I am living in Pleasantville, going through all those.
However, since Graywolf doesn't remember his source, we have very little chance to find this one.
Yet, I believe that this truck is an Ahrens-Fox aerial ladder series G, circa 1927-1930.

May I refine my guess? Here is a 1929 Ahrens-Fox 75-6-1 aerial ladder truck, and I think that this is exactly what we have in Graywolf's picture.
