Back to the 1930s for this one.
What was the make, model, year and coachbuilder of this saloon?

max

Riley 12/4, Mulliner?, 1937ish.

woodinsight

Not a Riley or by Mulliner I'm afraid.
I think the car may have been rebodied around the date you mention..

That's not correct. The car was built earlier than 1937 and this was the original body.

Allan L

Looks like a "Special Sports Saloon" Talbot 65 of about 1935
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Not a Talbot.
As a small hint - the date of build was 1933.

Is it a Barker-bodied Bentley 3 1/2-litre?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Not as expensive as a Bentley and the coachbuilder consists of two names....

João

Lea Francis by Freestone and Weeb?

Lea Francis by Freestone and Weeb?
Good guess - similar level of car to a Lea Francis but a lesser known coachbuilder

Wendax

Almost!
Two words - Eagle is correct.

Wendax

Then it must be the Crested Eagle, no more 1933 Alvis models left.

Yes it is a 1933 Alvis Crested Eagle with a Cross & Ellis body.
Another point for you.
