Bertha Benz ?
Not Frau Benz, nein.
Howdy, experts!
Hello there, professionals!
Is that the prototype for Pontiac's Grande Dame? ;)
Not at all, but you may be on to something with this answer.
And if this clue seems as cryptic to you as yours are to me, I'll savour the sweet taste of revenge. ;D
Turnabout is fair play. :D
Does the pastry in her lap have special significance?
No, except that's it not contradictory with what she may be doing at the time.
Now I'm not sure if it's a pie, or a sewing basket...
You're right, it looks more like a sewing basket! Even less contradictory).
Betsy Ross (with a super-miniature flag prototype?) and the Ross Automobile Company?

Nope. I don't know if she is somehow connected with the Ross Automobile Company. If not, I never use a coincidental connection in my puzzles, I believe, like same name or whatever.
This is the Crosley Lady, she was sold in the 20's to put on display with Crosley radios to give a home atmosphere. She measures 3 foot tall and has Crosley Embossed cross the back bottom edge of the chair.
Ah, so her connection would be with Powel Crosley, Jr's Crosley automobiles.
Pnegyesi's right. Imagine having this at home near the TV! I wonder what the kids would say.
I supposed that Pal knew the connection between Crosley radios and the Crosley car. If not, Otto completed his identification and I am at pain to decide what to do with this point.

The point is Pnegyesi's, of course. :)
Damn, I was called outside when I was doing this, I don't know if I gave him or not.
I think not, but I am not sure. Thanks
Done.
