Guess what is this car.

The correct answer is 1 point.

Good luck!

@re

This is the prototype for the Hartung Sparta - which, by the way, could have featured in the 3-up puzzle, since it seats three.

Nice! :-)

And Andorra's only car maker. The prototype has been in development even longer than the Bugatti Veyron - since 1977...

Seems to be evolving, though! :D

But I don't know if it's getting better or worse. At least they've saved money on the licence plate budget.

It took a long time to save up all that tinfoil.

:lmao:

I was stunned as I've recognized those close fitting sport seats!
Must be fabulous rumbling cross country in the Andorra mountains.

Other remarquable features:
- interesting modern interpretation of the panoramic windshield.
- Bad taste wheels (quite common those days, but fascinating contrast here with the raw aluminum body).

I actually spoke to the guy behind the car at a car show and he said it was going to have a 1000bhp diesel engine...

here is a scan of the 1977 TÜV report (short for Technischer Überwachungs-Verein, Technical Monitoring Association in English) of the very first version of this cuty...

Mr.Hartung is the german head of a company called Andorplastics, that still exists and produces motorcycle helmets as I remember.

This sheet is one of the most exotic pieces in my collection:

I´ve seen this car on a car fair back in the mid 1980´s and I couldn´t believe this weird scaffold based construction to be true (sorry for the bad quality, but the original pic was quite small and of very poor quality)

And as you can see from the above posts, it had been around for over 30 years before that Monaco appearance!
