Experts don't want the point...
U.S. Mack? About 1901?
Not a Mack
Autocar?
From a less well-known brand
Knox?
Nope
Grabowsky? I don't have too many truck names handy.
Never heard of that one. But, no.
Rapid?
No
We didn't settle for sure that it is from the U.S. Is it?
Yes, it's from the US
Documentation on this brand is scarce. Pictures, more so.
Abresch-Cramer?
Not that one
I am pretty sure I used the picture on my own site... but cannot place it to give it a name...
I've only seen it on one site, which is a historical site that doesn't concentrate on cars or trucks. The few mentions of vehicles are mostly incidental in nature.
I got there by coincedence some maybe 4 years ago.
As did I, much more recently :)
I did a search, and indeed this truck is also shown on your website. Locked for you to dig it up, and take the point.
Is it still locked?

Is it still locked?
Until DeAutogids takes a stab at it, yes.
OK.
DA has logged on and posted elsewhere at AutoPuzzles few times since I locked this one. I'll declare it unlocked tomorrow (when a full week has expired). When I post a note saying that it is unlocked, you may then post your answer.
Oh please do, I am on and off due to my illness, so I am not very very active...
That's generous.

For 1 point, identify this truck, and the year. ;)
the company existed between 1911-1916. I'd say 1915
The original source of the picture (which can Googled, if one has the patience) indicates the license plate is dated earlier than that. I'll settle for the license plate date.

1914?
The method by which motive power is transmitted to the rear wheels rules out 1914
well, my last guess is 1912 :)
An excellent guess. ;D
1 point to pnegyesi for the solution. 1 point to DeAutogids for his generosity, and to bouy his spirits.
That's very nice of you
