American? The valve covers look vaguely like those on my 49 Plymouth.

This is a straight 8 made from two model T Ford engines bolted together end to end. It was made by a Ford dealer in Texas, M.K. Witt in 1919.

Interesting - you're getting closer.

Per my source, the builder and the seller are not the same company. The site where you probably found those pictures and text will give you the correct, complete answer.

Oh, I may have have names mixed up. Is it Battle and Hubbard of Dallas Texas built in 1915?
