And up towards the experts

Craig Gillingham

1926 Voisin C12 Chartula saloon?

bentleybob

It is a Voisin, but a different type etc.

No, I think it is an earlier type.

QuoteNo, I think it is an earlier type.
This car appears to have the fuel tank located in the firewall, so that really rules out any of the Voisins before 1924, as well as the earlier types C1 C3 & C5.

OK, if you say so, but now who was the coachbuilder?

Raymond De Baets?

bentleybob

I wonder how you found that out ;)

RayTheRat

I was looking for info on an electric truck and stumbled across the de Baets geneology site which was a little hard to follow...Google Translate isn't very good with Dutch - English translation, but it's better than nothing.  Seems like Raymond had a pretty "trying" life, yet lived to the age of 93.  He was a pretty resourceful gent.

Thanks for the point and congrats on your Pro status.
