It's a Thornycroft XB from the late 1920s.

Was it one of Tom Kruse's trucks?
Or did he just run the mail.

Manuel, this truck isn't one of Tom Kruses. The Leyland Badger that he used on his mail run had the bogie drive out of a Thornycroft type XB. The puzzle truck photo was taken around Wangaratta. I do know there used to be a type XB in the SA outback, somewhere, but was wrecked in an accident. This is where the back end came from that was used in the Badger for the mail runs.
