Is that one of the Stanley brothers in the front passenger seat?
QuoteIs that one of the Stanley brothers in the front passenger seat?
I don't think so; the car isn't Stanley related.
It's a beautiful old picture. Is it in the U.S.?
No, it's in Australia.
Mercedes, circa 1904?
QuoteMercedes, circa 1904?
No, not a Mercedes, and not as old as 1904.
Napier
QuoteNapier
Yes, LOCKED for you to tell me the year and type.
Cam u give me time to investigate this?
Have a big week this week Craig.
Manuel in Oz
That's fine.
Sorry Craig. I just don't have the time @ the moment. Takes me a while to go thru my books. They made a lot of different models before WW1 but the production numbers were very low.
Some models had huge engines in them.
I love the pic.

Manuel, no problem, I'll unlock this one.
Napier 60hp, circa 1907?
QuoteNapier 60hp, circa 1907?
1907 is right (could also be 1906), but a bit smaller than 60hp. It also has a model name, 1 letter and 2 numbers. LOCKED for you until your next reply.
Let's try this:
"The Model nomenclature that Napier's used originally prior to the 6 cylinder cars, was a letter followed sometimes by a number but from the 6 cylinder used type ( T ) numbers, not in chronological order to describe the different models."
So, using a bit of intuition and wild-assed guessing, I figger the T26 30hp would be a good candidate for that year range (1906-07).

Not quite, it's the next size up from 30hp, and not a T26 (doesn't start with a T). But it is a 6 cylinder. Still LOCKED for you for another attempt.
How about an L75, 40 hp?
QuoteHow about an L75, 40 hp?
