Okay, found this one fairly easily on a Colorado Hillclimb site.
It's apparently a Can-Am style dune buggy that was built in 1971 by Ken Blockhan.
It featured a Corvair turbo engine and finished 6th. in the Dune Buggy class that year driven by Dick Rayer.
I believe it was named Ken's Husky - see photo below

That's the car! But I have a different name for it (I guess Ken's Husky is a sponsor ad), which can be found pretty easily with the info you have now. Locked for you!

You're right - Ken's Husky & Dick's TV were the sponsors.
I looked at the 1971 programme but the car name wasn't mentioned there but then I found a reference to Turbo Willy which I presume is what it was named.
Also I think the driver may be Dick Royer (in the programme) and not Rayer as stated in the magazine caption.

Well, I think you're close enough - it was called Turbo Wile E. Coyote as far as I know - after a cartoon character. Point is yours.
