Looks can deceive.

For one point: the automobile company from which this drawing emerged, and what it was supposed to portend.

This rendering was to have been Virgil Exner's choice for the front styling of the 1960 Desoto. It never went into production.

My first impulse was to search for Pontiac Tempest design renderings, and indeed I spent some time looking there, before I noticed the "drooping lip" grille/bumper and its similarity to the '59 Desoto...
