I've found some similar called The Brotherhood Line

Otto Puzzell

Interesting. It seems locomotive-cars were quite popular for a while.

The puzzle car has no relationship to that car, other than a similar appearance.

The name of this contraption conjures images of hoochie-coochie girls.

Its purpose was associated with a birthday celebration, of sorts.

About 311,591,917 persons celebrated this birthday last year. Another, far-away group of 62,218,761 did not.

This birthday is celebrated after the summer solstice, and before the autumnal equinox.

Independence Day (July 4th) parade car thing?

Wendax

Otto Puzzell

Independence Day (US) is indeed the date in question.

Wendax got there first.  ;)

Now, on to identifying that car/truck/train thingy.

I was prepared to post a good, stout clue about the builder's name, but it's not spelled exactly like the clue.

So, drink that in, and see what you come up with.

Builder's name Stoudt?

No, but you got the general idea. Think of a well-know peddler of 'Stoudt', and then misspell the name  ;)
