It's been a while since I've done a cars and places puzzle, so here's fresh entry. Herein you will find 22 cars that have names that include the name of a place. There are 22 more pictures of places that share those place names. However, to make sure this puzzle spans the spectrum from very east to very difficult, not every place pictured is the place the car was named for. In other words, the connection is merely coincidental. Oh, and I've not included pictures of complete cars. Rather, I've cropped out some or all of the car, leaving only a detail shot. Some details will be immediately recognized, others should take a bit longer.
To earn a point, you must name the automobile, and match it to the place with which it has a name in common. No points for naming a only place or a car. Your answer, in order to win a point, must include the correct match, calling out the number of both pictures. Only a complete answer will earn a point!
As with my other group puzzles, there are no insider-only "you have to have the book" requirements. Patience and good detective only are required to find the solution to all of these. The answers are all available to the general public.

I'd have loved the chance to play this one. I've been waiting for it with my list of answers...
There are still 9 left ;D

Yeah.. the ones I don't know...
I identified three more cars, but couldn't find a fitting place.
How about Bit#2 = Aurora
Place #11 = Aurora, Oregon
?
Crikey! Either these are easier than I thought, or somebody has been lying in wait. Even my red herrings have, so far, come to naught. :D
Correct ID's added to the list above.
Jeez... I knew if I blinked that Wendax would be in with a machete, but I didn't expect quite so many to go at once. :(
I'd better try and grab one while I can.
Bit #19 is a Toyota LiteAce Noah, circa 1999. It turns out there's a place called Noah in Tennessee - I didn't bother looking for places called LiteAce. ;D
I don't think there's very much there, but if you look it up on Google Maps someone has very helpfully posted a photo, which matches with Place #15.
So Bit #19: Toyota LiteAce Noah, and Place #15: Noah TN.
You're not the only one who has expressed shock at this blitz by Wendax. ;)
Your match is correct
No2: Aurora, Place11: Aurora Village, Melbourne, Florida
9. 1916 Detroit Electric Car 3 - Detroit, Michigan, 1908. Detroit Rubber Works
I'll try another one, then I'm stumped for now.
I think Bit #21 is the bonnet of a 1969 Ford Ranchero Rio Grande, and Place #13 is in Rio Grande City, Texas.

Wendax already matched the Detroit Electric. The Kentucky Colonel didn't throw him. :D

In the chart of answers, the numbers of the locations are correct? (I think some are twice or corresponding). Excuse me if I'm wrong. ???

No Dodge Durango in this puzzle.
Bit #6, the small air vent, is from a Studebaker Champion, 1950 or 51.
And having spent most of the afternoon with Flickr, Google Maps and Wikipedia, I'm fairly sure that Place #6 is a school in Champion Township, Trumbull County, Ohio.
Bit #20: 2006 Buick Rainier - Place #11: Rainier, Washington

No sir
To avoid giving away the final points for guesses, I require specific place ID's for the remaining matches.
Just naming a city or village you've Googled in not enough to get the remaining points. >:D
1- Chrysler Aspen Limited 2011 and 11- Aspen, Colorado. USA

1- Chrysler Aspen Limited 2011 and 11- Aspen, Colorado. USA
It's a 2009 Chrysler Aspen ;). But the problem is the location. :(
The location is North of the Equator, in the Western Hemisphere.
Is the location Aspen Homes in Orem, Utah?
Neither of the remaining locations are in Utah.
Please remember to specify the number of the picture you are attempting to ID. ;)
I've trawled through everywhere I can find with Aspen in the name, but I still can't find the match. :-[
However, I also have a problem with the other remaining pairing.
If I've reverse-engineered the randomising algorithm correctly, the match should be between Bit #20 and Place #14. ;)
I've got the car and the place, but I can't make the match.
So first question, do the names of the car and the place have identical spellings, or is there a one-letter discrepancy?
Yes, there is a one-letter difference. My bad. :(
The the place pictured for the other pairing can be found on Google, but not by Google search-by-image.
I think there's still a slight problem with this one, but here goes...
Bit #20 is a Buick Rainier from about 2006, and the match is to Place #14, which should be Ranier, Minnesota (but isn't quite).
I've found the puzzle picture on the DB-City web page for Ranier, in the section headed "Ranier Photo". Unfortunately the page doesn't make it clear that the watchtower is not in Ranier, but stands on the other side of the Rainy River, at the Sorting Gap Marina in Fort Frances, Ontario.
I guess there's not much to take photos of in Ranier (population was 145 at the 2010 census), so they had to cast further afield. I expect you can see the watchtower from parts of Ranier.
Maybe I've made a mistake, but that's as far as I could get with it.
I can see across the river can't you? ;)
One pair to go.

Can we have the photo of Bit#1 back again then please, as only the picture for Bit#20 remains and Tom I just got that one?
So it's Bit #1 Place #11 left but we need the picture!
Thanks

As I recall, Bit #1 was taken from this picture, a 2009 Chrysler Aspen Hybrid
Right, thanks.
And don't tell me Picture #11 is Aspen, Colorado?
I'll have to have a look and see how many other Aspens I can find!
The problem is not to find many Aspens, but the right one. :(

Picture restored.
Aspen, Colorado had already been guessed and eliminated.
It's sad, I know, but spurred on by a determination to crack Place #11, I tried scanning round places with Aspen in their names using Google Maps and Streetview.
I never really expected it to work, but sometimes you just get lucky. 8)
So here it is on Streetview. It's Baird's Tradesmen Museum on Highway 7 at Aspen, Nova Scotia, and it matches Bit #1, the 2009 Chrysler Aspen Hybrid.
Now, that is some fancy sleuthing! That's how I found many of the pictures to use in this puzzle. Nicely done.
I'll update and update points shortly.
Well done, Tom I.
I just wasted hours on Aspens all over the place from California to Canada - but not Nova Scotia!
And the points:
