Post by: 250gto on July 07, 2009, 12:54:07 PM
Here's a (possibly quite easy) one for people who don't like my racing car puzzles. One point for make and model.  :)

Did Vauxhall make a concept called Equus that was similar?

One and the same, from 1978. It's where those '80s Vauxhall wheel trims come from.

Wayne Cherry was the Vauxhall designer in those days IIRC.

Indeed it is the Vauxhall Equus by Wayne Cherry from 1978.
The rear view (rather than the much more seen front/side views) didn't fool you guys..
Only one of you gets a point so it will be threespires -  your first one!  Well done!

Here are some other views:

I remember seeing it at the Motor Show. I rather liked it.
Thanks.

I worked at that 1978 Motor Show on the Datsun stand, my wife was on the Ferrari stand at the opposite side in Hall 3. It took us an hour to cross from one side to the other as there were so many people there.
