For one point ,identify the make and coachbuilder.

It looks like an Allard, judging by the wheels and sloping front of the bonnet line. The ghastly lines look as if they were been penned by old Syd himself, not a man who could have ever have said to be a car stylist, but who had the stomach to actually build it, I have no idea. :D

SACO

Yes ,it's an ugly allard ! :)

Just a guess- Frank Grounds did a few Allard saloons, the one I have seen is quite different in style from this one, but nearly as ugly. Was he responsible?

SACO

Not Frank Grounds related as far as I know !

Bowyer Brothers want their legs well and truly smacked. What a monstrosity :o. How can folks draw a car that looks like this and not see how disproportionate and ungainly it is before going ahead and spending time and money to actually build the thing? Mind you, this applies to quite a few cars featured on Autopuzzles! :D :D :D

Tastes change.
There would have been plenty of people who really thought this car looked the business back on the early 1950's, what with its big windows etc!
But there's no doubt that British, French, Italian, German etc tastes all differed substantially in those days.
