What's this, from when and powered by what - for 1 point?

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

This thing just doesn't look right.  (Massive understatement)  Is it a scaled-down car...like a motorized kiddie car?

You're right, it's not full-size.
Whether it's as small as a kiddie car though I'm not sure; bigger I think.

Absolutely!
Now the last part of the question so you can be awarded your point?

Sorry Carnut, I didn't read the question!  Anyway, Sbarro fitted the early examples of these with a single-cylinder Sachs 50 ADLX engine, with some later models getting a much larger 350cc Honda motor.

Yes!  Who needs 12 cylinders when one will do the job nicely? (this car has the single cylinder engine).
And another point to you..
