Who knows the builder´s name of this car?
Up!
German car i guess?
This is for sure... :D
c.1956 Goliath GP700 cabriolet?
It´s not a Goliath.
Gutbrod??
No, the Goliath guess was closer... :-\
While Gutbrod is closer, too - but only alphabetically :D
Glas or Glas/Goggomobil??
I am just staying with G's here if that was a tip.
A Lloyd 600?
Yes, it´s Lloyd, that´s quite obvious.
But this one is a very special one-off and I wan´t to see the correct builder´s name here...
Hansa?
No, it´s a Lloyd.
is the coachbuilder German?
Yes, but he was a single man, not a company I think.
Our professional puzzlers might know this one...
This roadster was built by Franz Kleevisch from Gmünd (Eifel) in 1961. It is based upon a Lloyd Alexander TS.
!!!
Perfect!
Hi,
Franz Kleevisch was my grandfather (my mothers dad). Does anybody know something more about him or his cars?
Thank you
Kirsten
Hello Kirsten,
all I know about your grandfather's car is the short article in Hanns-Peter von Thyssen-Bornemissza's book "Europäische Kleinwagen, Band 2: 1956-1965" which you can see below. Do you have any pictures of your grandfather's selfbuilt cars?
Dann habe ich für Sie einen Brief Ihres Großvaters an die Auto Motor & Sport von 05/1962 :)
Then I can present you this letter to the editor, that was written by your grandfather...
Hallo zusammen,
Yes, please - that´s great news - any new photos are highly appreciated!
