Well, you´re very very close!

Locked for you!

It is a Napier, but it´s even older and how many cylinders does the engine have?

A leap of assumption: 1904, which was the first year for "the first commercially successful six" (according to Georgano.)

Btw, my collection of reference images shows the same photo as the one you posted as the puzzle; it has no background and no border but a caption that labels it as a 1906 30hp.  If it was just a statement I'd found somewhere on the web, I'd be very suspicious of it.  But it appears to be an image taken from a published work, such as a book or periodical.  I can attach it here if you'd like.

Well, this was the same photo, obviously!

The fixation of the roof looks quite adventurous...

If by "adventurous", you mean that it might be likely to blow off at speeds over 20 mph...well, I can sure agree with that.  Last year I shot an outdoor car show and one of the cars was a 1909 Ford Model T Touring car with a HUGE canvas top.  We were in the middle of one of our common wind storms with 20-30 mph steady winds and gusting to around 40.  The owner of the Model T told me that he'd had to take the top down in order to get up the hill that led to the shows location.  I'll post a photo of it in the Vintage section.

I have a question for you, though.  Did you mean 8 cylinder?  I thought it was a 6.  Just wondering.

I´ve just mistyped and changed it - thank you.
