A blind guess:

A WW1 Vickers armoured car (unclothed)

Wow, the design is obviously the same - maybe mine was the original and Pipe made a licence build?

I really wonder if I should give you an extra point for this monster...

What do the others think?

Mine is not a pipe anyway.

LOCKED for João!!

Wendax

Oh my...then my source seems to be wrong.
Autopuzzles.com is amazing me again!

Joao - the point is yours - Compound is the name of this specific Pipe model?

Then I´lll reveil what my source said:

Heilmann Train Avant, 1910.

But I´ve got to admit that you must be right, of course:

João

 ;D

No problem.

It's from 1908,and it's electric and gas powered.All I know.

grobmotorix

Congratulations!  :applause:

Very interesting, indeed!

I would love to get any more information about it...

Wendax

That's what I have as a Heilmann Avant-Train:

I know this 1898 vehicle quite good - I think I´ve placed it as a puzzle myself...
But I thought it could be possible that it would have developed into he current puzzle pic vehicle within 12 years...

Now this is the solution why there were so many different names around:
