Absolutely right!  A body hand-made from copper in Poland fitted over a Ford GT40 chassis.  Kirkham is a pretty big Cobra replica "manufacturer" with most of their bodies coming from their supplier (I can't recall exactly who at the moment) in Poland.  I did this photo at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah in 2010 at a Ferrari Owners' Club race.  Btw...even though the proportions aren't exactly right for a 1940 Ford convert, it's still VERY well executed and a great looking car.

Another point for you, Mr. Rosso.

Here's one more shot of the car...you can see snow on the mountains...it was April, windy and cold that weekend.  The wind and cold (along with media credential hassles) are a few things I don't miss in not being a track photog any more.  I like the salt a lot better.

Was is original GT40 chassis or some kind of replica/continuation series?

It is based upon a Ford GT (that "modern" re-creation of the original GT40)
