Title: RtR#004 - Solved - John Miller's 1962 Hatch Park Special
Post by: RayTheRat on July 17, 2012, 02:20:09 PM
This sports racer is the one seen in the background of rtr#003.  Same deal.  One point for verified identification, possibly another point for detailed info about the car/builder/driver.

Happy puzzling.

I don't know.  Matter of fact, I don't know anything about it except that it's a "special."

Costin Nathan?

Perhaps I wasn't clear.  I don't know anything about this car.  It's why I'm offering a point for verified identification and another point for in-depth information.

However, I can pretty much guarantee that it's NOT a Costin-Nathan, but a one-off "special."

Maybe some "expertise" can help this one.

It's left hand drive so in all probability it was built in the US of A.

Crosley-based?

RtR, have you any idea of the date of the meeting?  If, as I suspect, this photo is from a meeting run by the Oregon SCCA, they have full listings of race results and a date, even an approximate one, would narrow things down.

I've been searching their site but haven't had much luck...so the answer to your question would be, "yes."  :)

Correct!  John Miller's 1962 Hatch Park Special.

Point for you.

I have no idea about the Ferrari logo on it, tho.  I'll award another point for the answer to that question.
