My curiosity is getting the better of me.  Klosterfrau is the manufacturer of (among other things) a tonic, or "patent remedy," called Melissengeist, right?  If it's what I think it is, the stuff is 80 percent alcohol: 160 proof.  I wonder if that's what the gentleman "christened" the truck with.  It also looks like he had to do a couple of "takes" before they got a suitable photo op.  I wonder if he'd had a coupla snorts of the tonic himself.   

The other thing I'm curious about is the pine boughs spread across the bumper.  I've seen several photos here of boughs or wreaths on cars...and I don't remember this from my time in Germany.  'Course I had a snort or two of just about anything I could get my hands on and my memory ain't the greatest.  I also wonder about the couple in the background of the photo.  Think they had some of that Melissengeist in the glasses or maybe just a nice Riesling?
