... how long should I leave it to then out it to the experts?

faksta

You should move it yourself - see 'Move Topic' button on the bottom left :) Choose to move it to Expert Puzzles and don't change the topic name. Then, when it's solved, you add a point and move the topic to Solved Puzzles and change the name to include the car name in it.

Thanks, ut I meant how long should I leave it to remove it from the rookie and bring it toi the experts? 1 week since beginning?

faksta

There have never been any certain terms - just do as you feel it to let rookies have a go on it. You can leave it in every section for a day or for a year, depends on you :)

Hehe yeah!

The picture was actually took at my house. No, we don't own it!

I'll give you 3 clues:

- The car is a 1 off, built out of scrap metal (frame made out of bull bars!)
- The car was built in Australia
- The owner/builder is brother with the creator of the Devaux I recently posted (not as if this would help!)

If I might make a suggestion, Jonathan, images of the size that you've posted in this puzzle are (in my opinion) a bit larger than necessary.  I'm on a somewhat slow DSL line and I know there are people on dial-up connections.  I'd suggest a max width of 1024 pixels (maybe 800) and a max file size under 500kb.

Thanks,

RtR

It's very Australian; Dingo Dozas, Peko Star wheels and a VIC number plate! I don't know the car, but would guess it's based on a VW.

Another hint...

The car is not based on anything. There is no chassis as such, its all in the body frame, made from bull bars. Engine is from a Volvo truck if I'm right.

Built by Chris Clash and called Victor. Chris now travels the world in it.
"Chris, an engineer, designed and built the buggy using kangaroo bars, recycled parts from the scrap yard, an engine purchased on E-bay and a steering wheel donated by an Australian buggy club."

Wendax

Don't forget his wife Elayne!  ;D

When did this one move to the pros (without a new post)?  >:(

Yep, that's it!

2 points for you!

Hehe I was going to Wendax, must have forgotten!

We're actually meeting them again this morning to say our farewells. I've been in the Buggy a few times, and it's awesome!

I'd love to read about his adventures - judging by what is stuck to the car, he has been to nearly everywhere in this car!  :o

Here is a picture of them next to 2 of our schmitts!
