Surprise, surprise! Yes!

Allemano

Wendax

Yes, very close, but I don't have it as a Zoller. Locked for you.

Allemano

Was it built after the decease of Arnold Zoller?

Wendax

No, I don't think so. Perhaps Zoller is on the photo, too.

Allemano

the still-born DKW-Rennwagen project?

Wendax

It is DKW based. I'm looking for a name related to Zoller and DKW, and not unknown at AutoPuzzles.

There is a photo of this car in Georgano's "Encyclopedia of Motor Sport" where it is described as a 1935 Zoller 1.5-litre racing car. Apparently Gerhard Macher tried to carry on with the development of the car after Arnold Zoller's death.
Perhaps Macher is the name you're looking for?

Wendax

Yes, Gerhard Macher is the name I was looking for. But I don't think that this puzzle car is the Zoller racing car. We had that before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8756.0
This one is DKW-based. If you can supply the right year, we have all parts together to call this one solved. Locked for you.

woodinsight

Yes, of course you're right - this is not the Zoller rennwagen.
I have to admit I didn't study the photo properly....

As to the year, I believe the car was racing in 1933 but may have been built a year earlier.

Yes. I'm quite sure this is Gerhard Macher's DKW-based racecar with Zoller compressor, he raced in 1933. The car was supposedly nicknamed "Trotzkopf".

One more point for you.
