I am new on the Forum and ordinarily I don't like to just "guess" but this is a rare one and I have already
4 hours invested in searching about it. So, an "educated guess" if I may.

Where I have come to is:  An FN truck, unknown model, with body by Maes Louis.  The year is also a guess but I
would say 1936-1937 judging by the styling.

Good "educated guess", it'a a FN ! :)
But I have not Maes Louis ! :-\
Locked for you !

Hallo Saco:

I have now exhausted all of my book and online sources trying to find the coachbuilder.

Of the 35 or so companies I looked at, I could guess at perhaps three and probably stumble on the correct
answer but that is not how I like to play the game.

So, please, unlock the quiz so someone else can take what I have come up with so far and perhaps solve
the coachbuilder part of the question.  I like this to be fun and not too serious even if I put hours of research
on some of the questions.  I will keep looking, but not at such a pace for today.

Congratulations to Joao and thanks to Wendex for another interesting addition to my oddball file.

As I spent maybe 6 hours on this photo, is it permitted SAC to ask you to post your original source
for this photo??

After the puzzle was solved, I used the not allowed Google photo search possibility and only found
the same photo with no details.

Am I not? ;D
Basically you won't find many puzzlers who reveal their sources in public, but if you're friendly and the source is 'exploited' a PM can help sometimes..

But please stop kissing me....  :hyper:

After the puzzle was solved, I used the not allowed Google photo search

It's only not allowed to be used to solve puzzles!
I use it regularly to get any more info I need for posting my puzzles.

FN chassis camion 8 1937.
Coachwork by Pritchard-Demolin?
My source regarding the chassis and year is the expert on the Belgian motor industry, Jacques Kupélian.
The puzzle vehicle is pictured (same photo) in his latest book on the history of the Belgian automobile where he states that it was mounted on an FN Type 8 lorry chassis c.1937. The coachbuilder was not mentioned, hence my 'wild' guess!

Yes ,FN truck ,designed by R Michiely and built by Jonckheere ( Bruxelles ).

Was there also a Jonckheere located in Brussels because the well known Jonckheere is located in Beveren (Roeselare).
