What car is this ?

FrontMan

Where do you find these things? Is it a Hansa? Very charming young lady, though.

Is this a one-off car, as opposed to a series-production one?

Say hello to Wasel Sport.

This is an one off built on a DKW chassi by Billy Wasel Lindahl in Sweden. Billy is still a very skilled mechanic and he made this sportscar of his dreams in the early 1950´s, working for an autoshop i Örebro. The main inspiration was off course Austin Atlantic.

Billy and his friends set off for a grand european tour, a journey propelled by young spirit and a two cylinder two stroke engine. The pictures taken in front of the Eiffel tower says it all.
The car was very well built and also took Billy to Norway several times. He later moved to USA and had to sell the car, something he still regrets in this day. Wasel Sport was probably scrapped in 1958, luckily there are still great pictures around and some film fottage too. Stunning car!
