Who knows this car?

An extra point if anybody is able to identify the people and the situation in which the photo was made.

It's a Monviso Rondine Spider, 1952, based on Fiat 1400 chassis.

I´ll check this when I´ll be back from work.

I think you´re right!

LOCKED for you in any case.

grobmotorix

My source does indeed claim it is a coachbuilt Fiat 1400, but from 1953 and not a Monviso...

But is of course LOCKED for you to get it right or prove me being wrong.

You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

I never had so many problems to attach an image and, at last, i couldn't do it because it tells me that there is already an attached file.
However, Monviso is my last answer.

The only remaining possibility is Ghia.1952

grobmotorix

It´s a Fiat 1400 Ghia convertible conversion.

One point for that.

Does anybody know the persons and the setting?

That would be another point...

grobmotorix

Internationally better known as the movie "The barefoot Contessa".

Very well done.

One point for you!

At the left you can see Ava Gargner´s legs and at the right Humphrey Bogart´s...

There also was a Coupeé version of this boxy design:
