Solved? Whatisthisbike#1 Harley Davidson?

I know it's not a car (I hope it's ok to post this here) but I would love to know what type of bike this is as it was owned by one of my ancestors.

I don't have any information about it apart from the photo was believed to be taken in the 1920s-30s in Colchester England.

It could be a Royal Enfield.  I don't know, there is very little of the bike visible and I cant find any pictures of similar bikes with the same front fork arrangement.  I would guess that it is a British bike.

I hate to suggest that a combination with the chair on the left, photographed in what looks like England and with a Cambridgeshire registration might be a Harley-Davidson, but it seems there was one with a fork springing arrangement like that.

I think you may be right Allan, thank you and well spotted.

I have found some more pictures of Harley Davidsons from that era and the front fork and mudguards look identical.

I'm going to put this one in solved as a Harley Davidson with a question mark.
