V8 engine?
Apparently yes!
This one is obscure and I haven't got very reliable info. I know who 'designed' it and which company's parts were used to assemble this car. That's all.
McLaren Elva?
No, more obscure.
Genie IS not officially involved, but involved they are in a certain way.
i doubt it but Merlin MK8!! ???
it's a canam racing car?
Actually I don't know, but doubt it.
Is the seat located on the centreline like a Cooper Bobtail?
Possible, but I do not know. I don't know any specifications.
I think it's an RHD car, judging by this picture
Crossle 9S?
Lola?
Huffaker special?

Yes it is! The wheels look like Bizzarrini's. Anyone with an idea about that?
I don't know where the wheels were sourced from (see photo below where the car has four matching wheels).
I believe the body is a Genie Mk 10 and the engine an unspecified V8. It was built as/or resembles a CanAm car.
That's all the information I have.
Thanks for the extra pic.
It would have been a USRRC car...CanAm didn't exist until 1966. Concept was pretty much the same, tho.
This car was auctioned recently at Bonhams where it was described as a 1962 car but still a Can-Am Special.
More misinformation on the Web and it seems Bonhams are no better than the back-street car dealers at knowing what they are selling? I thought the auction houses employed experts?!
