Ratier 1923 by Paul Dreptin.
Almost there.. Locked for you to tell me what the project was called.
Excuse as I'm not good in French I hope it's part of the name what I'm waiting for... ;)
In french : "voiture Ratier à hélices" or "automobile à traction aérienne" (automobile with air drive).
Right! Point added!
Some more info:
This propeller-driven car was built in 1923 by Paul Dreptin and Paulin Ratier, head of Hélices Ratier. It weighed 1000 kg and reached 130 km/h. The Janvier-Sabin four-cylinder engine of 3200 cc displacement developped 60 to 70 hp. It was a hybrid car, because the driver could choose the means of propulsion: by propeller, classic wheel-driven or a combination of both.
Must have been spectacular to watch and listen to that engine. Top speed was VERY adventurous I guess..
